Two Perspectives; One Working Equitation Experience at Ibericon 2026
Just days before the World Championships of Working Equitation 2026 in Jerez starts, IBERICON 2026 is proud to announce the participation of two highly respected professionals from the world of Working Equitation: international rider and trainer José Antonio Olea and international judge José Andrés Benito.
Following the recent announcement of FEI Dressage Judge Juan Carlos Campos, who will also be part of this year’s IBERICON program, the event continues to bring together leading professionals from different areas of the equestrian world, creating a unique meeting point for sport, education, breeding and tradition.
After becoming one of the most popular and highly attended experiences of IBERICON 2025, Trabajo y Tradición returns this October with an exceptional Working Equitation experience designed to offer participants a deeper understanding of the discipline from two complementary perspectives: training and judging.
Working Equitation combines Dressage, Obstacles, Speed and traditional horsemanship, creating a dynamic discipline that requires precision, partnership, versatility and a highly trained horse and rider. At IBERICON 2026, participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from professionals with extensive experience both inside and outside the competition arena.
José Antonio Olea, one of the pioneers of Working Equitation in Spain, brings more than three decades of experience as a rider and trainer. His international career includes participation at the highest levels of the discipline and representing Spain at the European Championships. In 2024, Olea was part of the Spanish team that won the Silver Medal at the European Championships.
Joining him will be José Andrés Benito, a WAWE 2* international judge with extensive experience officiating at major international competitions. Throughout his career, he has judged European and World Championships in Senior, Junior and Young Rider categories. He is also a member of the WAWE Board of Directors.
TWO EXPERTS. TWO PERSPECTIVES. ONE UNIQUE EXPERIENCE.
The IBERICON 2026 clinic will give riders the opportunity to understand what it takes to prepare and present a Working Equitation horse at competition level, while also learning how their performance is viewed from the judge’s perspective.

José Andrés Benito will focus on the judging side of the discipline and José Antonio Olea will then bring those observations into the training arena, helping riders understand how to develop the horse and rider.
The clinic will take place in small groups, allowing the professionals to provide individual attention and meaningful feedback to each horse-and-rider combination.
